This is my blog. It is my opinion, if you disagree, too bad.
My dad made a recording of Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. Listen here.
So this is the Thursday before I come home from my time as an intern at Microsoft. As I look back on this summer, I can say that I had a good time. I ended up in a great team (GO! C#) and with a great group of explorers (Dan, Julia, Michael.) For now, our work is finished. If we had more time we'd be able to make even more awesome things. For now, you can check out the work we've done by going to GotDotNet's Code Gallery. (Link will bring you to our project page.)
We've been able to do a lot of things this summer and at the same time impress those that we work with. We gave a presentation on Tuesday to members of DevDiv and they liked the stuff that we put out. Then today we presented for the rest of the Explorers. We did well, our demo didn't crash (not every group can say that), and our stuff was well received. We actually got interrupted by one of the mentors during our presentation because he wanted to know when we were shipping our tools. We answered by saying that our tools were already on Code Gallery and that our stuff is decently popular; we've had over 12 downloads of our software already and hopefully more to come.
Tomorrow is our final day this summer at Microsoft. We have some tidying up to do in the office, and I need to make sure that all my stuff is packed for my flight home on Saturday. It was a great internship and I can definitely say that I believe I am in the right field.
Oh, and if you are a programmer, remember C# is the best langauge evar, its destroys Java in ease of use. And you can't even say it only runs on windows, because it has also been ported to Linux and OS X. It rocks, and I can say that I have helped to make the experience of it even better.
explorers are ready for the final day.
Back to my ADD.
