This is my blog. It is my opinion, if you disagree, too bad.
So, 3rd Best Page in the Universe has a new prestigious home! So yeah, I finally have my own domain name, for the layman that means that I have a ".com" now. Though I figure you know that now considering that you are reading this post. I have wanted to have my own .com address for years, since 1999 to be exact. So yeah, this is something that someone would consider to be 7 years in the making.
So, for those of you who don't know, or haven't figured it out yet, Long Island is not my base of operations this summer. No, instead it is a humble apartment on the opposite coast of the United States. Yeah, I got an internship at Microsoft. That means that from now until August, I am an employee of Microsoft. It's a pretty cool position. I work with the Visual C# team. You can check out our blog. It's got all sorts of intersting news and reflections of life as an Explorer Intern at MS.
I've been here a month. It's been fun. It's kinda cool that I am earning money and then living off of that. It's almost like being independent, but I can definitely say that I still rely on my parents for stuff. So yeah, though I may not be home, I haven't fully left the nest yet.
I am anxious to get back home, mostly because I haven't been there really in about a year. (I don't count vacations as really going home, because you never get to do all the things you wanted to.) So yeah, I went to RIT at the end of last July and was there pretty much until May where I went home for 2 days and then flew out to Seattle. It has been a crazy 11 months. 2 of my friends have gotten engaged and married in that time. Several friends have had deaths of relatives, including my friend James who lost his father this month. The realities of having separated parents has really set in. And in the middle of this I went to a school that was definitely a lot harder than high school. I have made friends, created some enemies, and had a good time. 67 credits later, I can say that it was a humbling experience.
I think the best part about RIT was the real opportunity I had to really test my faith, away from all the people that had been my role models while growing up. I can say that I have definitely made my faith my own as a result and have gotten on fire for God. The toughest thing is trying to balance my time with God and my team with my books. Hopefully this next year coming up I can do better academically. I believe that I am on a good path to continue doing well spritually. I am going to be playing guitar in the RIT CCC band and I am going to be leading a bible study for that group.
I guess that's all I have to say right now. My old site will be back online in August. You'll find it in an archive section on this website. I hope you enjoyed what you read and will come back for more. I'll have the comments section back in a few days.
people have found this to be a good way for a new start.
Back to my ADD.
