This is my blog. It is my opinion, if you disagree, too bad.
So it's been a while since I bothered blogging. Mostly it has been because I didn't feel like it and didn't really have anything to say anyways. I'm only writing this one entry because I figured 2008 should have an entry.

I do not plan to attend RIT anymore. Software is no longer an interest of mine, so going to RIT is pretty much pointless. I have decided to persue a carreer in the field of Audio Engineering, which includes recording, live audio, and random things like lighting and stage work at times. It is a lot more fun to me, and I have learned a lot in the last year doing it with Campus Crusade and then with a company called SOL Productions. (Spice of Life for the curious.) I have also started providing sound for Christian Artists local to the Rochester Area.

With this change of schools, it also means that I will no longer be involved with RIT Crusade in the same level that I have been in the past. A new leadership team has been formed, and I am not part of it. It feels weird, but I know that it is the right thing. However, this does not mean that I am done with Campus Crusade. As a matter of fact, this summer I will be participating in a summer project with Crusade.

A summer project is like a short term missions trip. The project that I am going to be involved in is called Keynote. Keynote is a music and visual arts ministry that is affiliated with Crusade. The specific details for my project are that I will be the sound tech for a band called Young Isaac. Young Isaac will be an acoustic rock act covering many mainstream artists and it will be made up of college students from all over the country. Even though I have been known to frequent many different sides of the music industry (recording, live sound, drummer, guitar, bass), my role will be one of service for the band. I am excited about running sound for a band that is going to be on tour for part of the summer.

One thing about this project is that I have to raise money. Right now the project cost is $3000. I can also raise money for transportation and some extra money for fun stuff while I am out in Indiana before we go on tour. If you would like to help me with a donation, send me an e-mail and ask for a support letter and I will forward you all the information you need to get hooked into my fundraising network.

I guess that's I've got to tell you guys for now. Thanks for reading and have a good day.

readers were like holy snap, a new entry!
